Im always texting him first and i dont get why?

hey so i really like this guy and it seems like he likes me too i mean we've hung out twice and madeout and stuff and chilled and we both had a fun time but it seems like im ALWAYS starting the conversation with him when i txt him and i DONT get why! hes NOt shy so thats not the problem and he knows i like him so whats the deal. and im pretty sure hes interested cuz i mean we have kissed and stuff and the last time i talked to him he said we should hang out agian so... also hes a yr older then me and he sometimes works for his uncle too and he plays tennis all the time! so maby hes busy? but still at night he should txt me cuz thats usually when ill txt him and he'll reply. i dont get it a few weeks ago we'd txt late into the night and all day long but now idk we dont talk unless i txt first and if i like dont txt for a day and wait to see if he'll txt he dosent :/ so idk please help!
