1999 Honda Civic Ex just shut down need a little help please?

1999 was in the thick of intermittent ignition switches in Honda vehicles, and that Civic may be subject to the recall (first source, at the bottom) and may not have been taken in for switch replacement. You can call your local Honda dealer and give them the VIN number - on a placard visible through the windshield, in front of the driver - and they can tell you if it was affected and if the recall was done.
