How do you treat an infected toe?
I'm new to this section, so bare with me here. I was sitting at my computer today and decided to get for a minute and sit down. As I put my right foot up on my foot stool, I noticed this yellow puss coming out it. I wiped it up, and it came back again. So I decided to squeeze it all out, clean it up, and put it back up again. Since then, it has stopped coming out. I did some research and discovered I have an infected toe. A few days ago, I was helping my family move some boxes with tennis shoes on and no socks (I didn't have any clean socks and my tennis shoes were the only ones I had access to) so I slid them on and wore them for a few hours. Once I took them off, I saw my right foot had a bruise (purple and pink) around the big toe. I have worn socks and tennis shoes since then. After I squeezed out the puss today, the bruise started going away. First it turned red, now it's becoming light pink and starting to change back to my natural skin color. I'm 14 and my parents don't know about this toe right now. My parents have insurance, but I don't, so how can I treat this without going to the doc? Thanks!
